General Questions
Due to EXTREMELY high demand for our bespoke products, the estimated turnaround for book production is 8-10 weeks once your cards/keepsakes have arrived at our studio. You can choose to get your book sooner with our Expedited & VIP Express upgrade options, available at checkout!
You have 12 months from the date you order to package up your cards/keepsakes and return it to our studio.
Yes - 100%. Sometimes it's hard to find the right words or dig through those digital files to find the perfect photograph. Simply place your order without these to get the ball rolling. Once you have packaged up & returned your keepsakes we send you a "Safe Arrival" email at which time you can then reply with the other inclusions for your book.
What you include in your keepsake book is only limited to your imagination and the life moment you are trying to capture! We accept all types of cards (Birthday, Wedding, Engagement, Bereavement, Baby Arrival, Baptism, Graduation), Collections - vintage items, spoons, stamps, Sporting trophies & ribbons, Handwritten letters, Newspaper clippings, old Photo albums, Recipe books, Pet albums, Old scrapbooks, Travel items - postcards, souvenirs. If it's not listed here - call us to discuss the project or bundle of keepsakes you have in mind & we will see if we can help!
All photographs count towards the no. of pieces you are including in your book, EXCEPT for one photograph to be used on the Cover of your book & Introduction/Dedication page. These photographs can be uploaded at checkout or emailed to us directly hello@reminisceit.com.au. Alternatively you can also include the original photographs with your returning pile of keepsakes that you send for processing.
Yes. Please note that each page counts as one item as they are scanned/photographed individually. We may also need to disassemble your folder/album for reproduction and may not be able to reassemble your album, should you wish for it to be returned to you. Preparation of submitted keepsakes for scanning and photographing will involve removing objects that may hold together, attach, organise, fasten, join, connect, or affix artwork. It may be necessary to remove some items to enable us to scan the item in order to produce a professional image and prevent damage to equipment. The items which may be removed may include, tape, stickers, clips, staples, glue, wool, string, chains, twist ties, or any fastener not herein listed. Some keepsakes may be detached from a background surface that is not part of the actual keepsake (such as frames or background paper) at our discretion. The reason we may extract an item from any background is solely to enable us to offer the best image and reproduction possible. We will not reconnect or refasten any keepsake that was necessary to disassemble. Keepsakes will not be stapled, glued, tied, clipped, taped, or refastened in any manner once prepared for reproduction.
YES absolutely! You can add any captions you would like for $1.50 - $2.00 per caption, depending on the length of the caption. Simply write the caption on the reverse side of the keepsake in pencil, or number each piece & email us with a list of corresponding captions and we will add up the amount of captions and send you an invoice for payment once we have received your keepsakes.
Yes. Whilst our Creative Design Team has the skills and creative flair to showcase your keepsakes/items in the most appealing layout, we are also happy for you to specify the order that you would like your keepsakes to appear in your book. Please clearly mark the back of each piece in pencil in ascending order starting from #1.
Yes. We are happy to return your cards/paper keepsakes for an additional $15 to cover packaging & courier costs. All other larger keepsakes can also be returned via our courier partner Aramex, however additional charges will be applied via PayPal invoice depending on costs.
The RI Team uses the latest high tech scanners, equipment & professional photography to bring your keepsakes to a splendid digital form! Whilst every effort will be made to present the keepsakes in the most professional manner, often times, variations in colours and shades may make the reproduction look slightly different from the original; however, we will attempt to retouch, restore, freshen, or refurbish electronic files of the scanned pieces with commonly used printing methods. We will make every attempt to reproduce the keepsakes for printed reproduction so that the reproduction is as close to the original as possible and enhanced to gain the highest possible quality for the finished product. Please note that the reproduction of any folded keepsakes/paper/items may show creases, folds, rolls, pleats, tucks, lines, grooves, crinkles, wrinkles, scrunches, rumples, or crumples on the final reproduction. In some instances the decision to crop some of the item may be made in order to maximise the layout, structure and overall appearance of your book.
All of our books are printed on either Premium Silk Paper (170gsm) or Lay-Flat Paper (300gsm). The books have a high quality gloss or matte, case-in bound or lay-flat cover finish. They feature your choice of photograph on the front cover and an additional photograph of your choice on the Introduction page, together with a personalised message/tribute.
Many of us do not have the time (some 30 hours it would take for someone attempting their first book) to spend on producing this keepsake. To produce a book of this standard requires a large investment of time, access to design software, professional design expertise and the use of high tech scanners, print equipment & professional photography. What we provide you, is a completely hassle-free and affordable solution to the treasuring your precious memories and unforgettable life moments for a lifetime. Shipping & Delivery
We offer a flat rate of $14.95 for postage/delivery within Australia.
For our New Zealand customers postage rates range from $20.00 - $30.00 depending on products ordered.
